You have been served.

I am often so inspired by creative ideas I see on other blogs.Especially when its an idea I know would translate perfectly to a child's party.  As soon as I this DIY project, I knew I had to share it with you! Especially since I am a bit cotton candy crazy these days. It is from
Oh Happy Day -an acrylic cotton candy tray!

Once it was made, you would most certainly use it for every party you will ever have. In fact , you will probably be looking for things you can serve on a stick just so you can display it again and again. Instructions found here.

Tennis Anyone?

I have always loved this early part of summer when the Tennis Tournament Wimbledon happens in England. An avid player himself, my father bought my sister and I very special tennis dresses when we were little. I still have mine. I don't know that I ever actually played tennis in it but I did wear it ALL the time. Something about it being tied to a sport my father loved made it very important dress, indeed.

I LOVE these tennis inspired clothes by Brooks Brothers. Even if a girl doesn't actually play the sport, they can certainly dress the part! A perfect MATCH don't you think?

VINTAGE TIARA

Oh, how I wish it were me that spotted these vintage tiaras at an old jewelry factory in New England!  There very well may be some real ROYAL history there. Or when your child/you were wearing it you could imagine there was.

Find tiaras with a bit less history but just as much sparkle HERE.

I would imagine both Mum and Birthday Girl would LOVE any of these, no? Do you have a favorite?

Poof, there it is!

So in my mind, there are cute ideas and then there are CUTE ideas. This one happens to fall into the CUTE category. Really, there isn't a cupcake I don't love but this one I LOVE!  On cupcake or in a sparkling pink lemonade, a cotton candy topper will be a HUGE hit I am sure! Find the idea in detail at Hank and Hunt Party Crafts.

You can get the straws here and cotton candy here.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

I am actually quite tickled pink to be mentioned in this feature on Hostess with the Mostess-
{Pastel Pink Garden} LOVE BUG Birthday Party. A lovely mum created this amazing party and I did Dramagination with all of the sweet little Love Bug guests. With so many incredible details, it was no surprise that each girl jumped right into pretending they were these magical creatures in the most enchanted of all gardens.
I utilized all of the party favors the mum created and incorporated them into the make-believe games we played. I told the story of the Garden Queen who was throwing a Ball for all the Love Bugs in honor of the Birthday Girl so they just had to believe. And a little bit of pink pixie dust of course!
The most darling birthday girl with the biggest imagination ever ringing bells to call all the Love Bugs to the Ball in her magical garden.
We hunted for pretend bugs hiding in the grass and put them in these cute jars. The nets were swooped about to catch jewels that were gifts from the butterflies.

It truly was a magical experience for all! See more pictures and lots more details of how she created this most precious party ever here.

A Royal Anthem

One of the many things I just ADORE about children is how they explore their world everyday. I just love when they come to my class and show me the treasures found on their many journeys that day. A small feather, a little pebble, a tiny sequin has the utmost value because it was discovered and placed protectively in their pockets for safe keeping.
There is a clothing line that I am positively smitten with, Anthem of the Ants.

Just about the most darling play clothes around, my favorite all time is a dress called
the Scavenger Hunt Dress. How truly perfect for a young explorer as it has deep, wide pockets roomy enough for many special found treasures.
